HOT RASPBERRY SAUCE OVER VANILLA ICE CREAM

12       oz. raspberries

    1/3   cup sugar

    1/4   cup water

            vanilla ice cream

 

Option:  Take 4 whole berries and put aside.

 

Crush the berries in a sauce pan and add sugar and water.  Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.  Press through a sieve to eliminate the seeds from your sauce.  Place two scoops of ice cream in a bowl and spoon the hot sauce over it.  Garnish with a whole berry and serve while still hot.
